An independent studio building its own apps and yours.
Lana Labs LLC is a limited liability company founded in 2026 by Chuka Ufomadu and based in Dallas, TX. We design and develop consumer applications for iPhone and publish them on the App Store.
We deliberately keep a small catalogue. We invest in a handful of products we believe in, and we take on client work alongside them. Either way the whole job stays in-house: design, engineering, support, and updates. That means the people who built the app are the same people who answer your email about it.
The thread running through everything we make is imagination: tools that let someone picture a different version of themselves, whether that is a new hairstyle, a future goal reached, or a larger vocabulary.

03Process
How an app gets made here.
The same four stages apply to everything we ship, whether it takes six weeks or six months.
- 01
Research
Every app starts with a problem worth solving, whether we ran into it ourselves or a client brought it to us. We talk to the people who share it, look hard at what already exists, and only continue if we can do something meaningfully better.
- 02
Design
We design in high fidelity early, because an app is judged on how it feels. Layout, motion, and copy get worked out together rather than bolted on at the end.
- 03
Build
Development happens in-house. We build native for iOS so the app behaves the way the platform expects, and we test on real devices throughout rather than only in a simulator.
- 04
Ship and iterate
Release is the middle of the process, not the end. We read every review, watch how people actually use what we made, and keep shipping updates against what we learn.
